Melbourne’s engineering base is broad - advanced manufacturing anchored in the north and west (Broadmeadows, Sunshine, Laverton), a defence and aerospace cluster, active research-adjacent industries around Parkville and Clayton, and a growing AgTech and CleanTech scene across regional Victoria. The programs we take on reflect that: line automation on established manufacturers, energy and utilities instrumentation, agri and horticultural automation, and product-development work for Victorian startups.

Being physically in Melbourne matters for the class of work we do. Board bring-up, EMC pre-compliance, on-site commissioning and pilot production coordination all benefit from same-day access. Clients hosting a paid discovery week often invite us into their site rather than the other way around - and Victoria’s time zone means we’re available during the working hours of the operations teams we’re building for.

On-site meetings and site walks. Included in every program at no extra cost inside metro Melbourne. Regional Victoria (Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Warrnambool) - travel is quoted at cost with a fixed day rate; often bundled into the same day as related work.

Commissioning and installation. We commission during scheduled outages agreed with the client’s production team. For industrial clients that’s often a weekend or overnight window; we plan and price accordingly. Regional commissioning is quoted per site with a backout plan documented before install day.

Prototype freight and pilot runs. Melbourne to Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane pilot runs ship overnight through TNT/StarTrack. Local assembly (PCB and mechanical prototype partners in Melbourne) means iteration cycles measured in days, not weeks.

Time zone. Working hours 09:00-18:00 AEST/AEDT. We’re available during the same shift as the plant operators, utility control rooms and grower-owners we build for - not the East-Asia offshore hours some competitor firms operate on.
